Week1

Today i had been group with three other member to form a group, who are Gerry, Kah Suit, Leon. We were called to choose our position in the group. As i had been chosen as the group, I analysed base on my group member strength from their previous assignments and their belbin test result.
So I discuss with my group member about their position to confirm with them about the responsibility and what to do as they had taken that position. After everyone had agree I submitted the soft copy of our group position into the server. After that we start to discuss about our group name but at that time there are not good name are chosen so name our group TBC (during that moment it means To Be Confirm). But after awhile we notice that TBC also can become The Best Crew. So that how our group came from. I am the leader of the group also the leader of logistic and team member for design and technical.
After the group are formed, our class are brief to research on 8 different interactive installation medias that we found interesting and analysed on it. So we distribute the job to every members to find 2 or more interactive installations that interesting and post in the Facebook group page so can choose which one are more interesting.

I started to find what i think i interesting and post on the facebook group page and gave some comments after viewing my group members. We mostly spend most of the time discussing which one is more suitable.

My group mates gather at my place after class and started to summarised all the informations that are gathered. We discuss what are the point that are need to included in the wiki page base on the project brief. I on a google document so every group are able to access and put the information they gather to one document and everyone are able to refine the points that have mistakes. After everyone had compile their part, i did the comparison table and summary. And i coded the html and css for the wiki page.
Beside that our group also started to think what we are going to do base on the researches that we had found. I bring out the idea of doing something that are more mechanical rather than just digital form. As our topic is Behind the screen, beyond the mouse. And our team agree on the idea.

Submission of the wiki page of our research to the server. And every group need to meet up with lecturers to propose what we had in mind and get some feedback and helps from lecturers.
These are some thing that our group had discuss and propose to the lecturer during the meet up.
The idea we have are:
- (Make something useful and fun to interact with)
- (Make something boring into interesting installation)
We plan to use some mechanical object as output.
We plan to make something that can catch people attention and create curiosity among them. Similar like some research we did for the wiki page, like the privacy camera, swing and deon blade grass.
Our group are planning to use arduino, kinect and infrared as a tool for this project. And the output that we may setup are:
- sound and music
- projector imaging
- object (Mechanical)
